Our Parish Mission

We, the members of Our Mother of Sorrows, Holy Family, Saint Ann, and Saint Casimir Churches, are a welcoming faith-filled community composed of people of different ethnic origins, formed by Word and Sacrament, striving to support, sustain, and encourage each other and all who have need of us on our pilgrimage through life to the Kingdom of God.

Parish Profile

In 1990 Bishop Michael Murphy reassigned the priests of St. Ann, St. Casimir and Holy Family Churches and united these three parishes under the direction of one pastor. He appointed Rev. Robert Craig to this position and then after one year, Rev. James T. O'Hara, another native son and former assistant pastor of Saint Ann's, became the pastor of the tri-parish cluster. It was a formidable task that faced Fr. O'Hara. Each of the three parishes retained their own name, each retained its own boundaries, its own church, rectory, and other buildings, its own spiritual and social organizations and its own ethnic identity. Nevertheless it was the obligation of the new pastor to preserve all of these unique qualities in each parish and yet combine their spiritual, financial, and material well being under his care.

Fr. O'Hara has succeeded beautifully in all of these efforts with the help and cooperation of the loyal and faithful members of St. Ann's, St. Casimir's and Holy Family Parishes now united in the eastside cluster to seek in bring the Blessing of the Father to all who are bound through this community of Faith.  Know that, through the Son flows the Blessings of the Father offered through the embracing Love given by Spirit.

Novena to St. Anne, the Mother of the Virgin Mary

Glorious St. Anne,
filled with compassion for those who invoke you,
with love for those who suffer,
heavily laden with the weight of my troubles,
I knee at your feet and humbly beg you
to take my present need under your special protection...

(State your intention here.)

Vouchsafe to recommend it to your daughter,
the Blessed Virgin Mary,
and lay it before the throne of Jesus.
Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted.
Above all, obtain for me the grace to one day meet God face to face,
and with you and Mary and all the angels
and saints praising Him through all eternity.

Amen
